Lake Como is one of the most romantic places in Italy for an engagement photoshoot or a surprise proposal. With its elegant villas, mountain views and timeless atmosphere, it offers countless beautiful settings for unforgettable moments.

This session with a lovely Japanese couple took place at Villa Monastero in Varenna. We spent the morning exploring the gardens, moving through the different viewpoints and enjoying the changing light. Halfway through the photoshoot came the surprise—a heartfelt proposal overlooking the lake, making an already special morning even more meaningful.

Afterwards, we continued the session through the gardens before ending the experience with a traditional wooden boat ride on Lake Como. The calm water, surrounding mountains and classic boat created the perfect setting for natural, elegant photographs that tell the complete story of the day.
